Covid-19

We thought, amongst all the other emails you are getting, we would let you know that as your accountants, we have thought about the challenges that lay ahead and maybe offer some words of reassurance in what can seem to be an increasingly scary time.

The main message that we want to say is that we are here for your both now and in the future. If that’s to process accounts, VAT and payroll to meet deadlines then our systems are ready to make sure that happens even if that is remotely. If not then we are here for a chat about your financial concerns and to help you navigate some increasingly choppy waters, all you need to do is pick up the phone (or send us an email!).

In terms of some key points we have thought about: –

EMPLOYEE AND CLIENT SAFETY

Thankfully the team at Chorus Accounting are currently healthy and working as normal.

If the need arises, be that via a change of Government policy or staff concerns, then we have a fully thought-through plan to roll out homeworking, during periods of self-isolation.

SERVICE CONTINUITY

Currently there is no lock down mandate, however, should there be then we have robust systems which will enable the whole team to work remotely to ensure that your deadlines can be met without disruption.

CLIENT SUPPORT

Our focus over the coming months will be to deliver all deadline driven work as usual. This involves Payroll, CIS, VAT returns and Limited Company Accounts filing.

We are also aware that some of you process your own information and may be concerned that this will become problematic if you cannot access your office. We can install a variety of Cloud based solutions to help and if you can scan and email documents to us, we can help in posting them.

KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON BUT MOST OF ALL KEEP TALKING

We are confident that the systems and processes in place within Chorus Accounting mean that we can continue to support you and your business.

If you need anything let us know. Our business depends on your business and we must all pull together during the next few weeks.

AND FINALLY…

Here is a quick action plan to help focus your thoughts:

  1. Keep your eye on Government advice: https://www.gov.uk/government/topical-events/coronavirus-covid-19-uk-government-response
  2. Your main purpose is to protect the health of yourself, employees and customers and then reduce the risk of the financial impact to your business. So you need to take action now.
  3. Hold a meeting with key team members and work through the pre-circulated agenda.
  4. Summarise the actions and allocate responsibility to make them happen.
  5. Talk to us – we are all in this together.
